At BLINK Dance Theatre, we believe that everyone - children, young people, and vulnerable adults - has the right to be safe from abuse, neglect, and exploitation regardless of age, gender, disability, colour, race, nationality, or ethnic or national origins, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.
We uphold the highest safeguarding standards in line with the Children Act 1989 & 2004, the Care Act 2014, and the Charity Commission Code of Governance.
All staff, volunteers and freelancers working with BLINK Dance Theatre receive annual Safeguarding refresher training. Designated and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads receive Advanced Safeguarding Training every two years. Additionally, all staff, volunteers and freelancers undergo enhanced DBS checks.
We have Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, and a Safeguarding Trustee who are responsible for ensuring that safeguarding is embedded across all our activities.
