Role at a Glance

Days per Week 5 days - but we are open to adjusting the number of days to suit a part time delivery of the role
Annual Leave 28 days pro rata
Salary £40,000–£45,000 annual equivalent, depending on experience
Location Hybrid - working from home/at our studio in Nine Elms
Start date As soon as possible, for an initial fixed period

BLINK are seeking an experienced Interim General Manager for a 6-month period while we recruit a long-term Executive Director.

This isn’t just a “fill-in” role. You will overseeing BLINK’s operations, working closely with our Artistic Co-Directors on strategy, and help sustain the cohesion, creativity, and momentum of our small, dynamic team. For the right person, there is also potential to step into the senior Executive role at the end of the interim period.

What you’ll be doing

You will be a key pillar in our organisation, bridging the gap between artistic vision and operational excellence. Key deliverables during this period include:

  • Progressing our organisational development, for example, through streamlining meetings, working on staff structures and supporting the team

  • Overseeing the operations, health and safety at our sensory studio space in Nine Elms, and of the operational side of our new work due to tour in 2027

  • Working with our finance consultant and finance assistant to continue to improve systems and ensure budget holders are well supported

Who are we looking for?

If you have a keen eye for processes and a passion for inclusive arts, you could be a great fit. We are looking for:

  • Three years of experience at a senior or strategic level in an arts organisation

  • Evidence of strong leadership, team building and good communication

  • Keen eye for process and streamlining operations

  • Understanding of charity finance, and ability to oversee an annual budget with £500k turnover

  • Knowledge of Arts Council England (ACE) National Portfolio Organisation processes

  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn how to work inclusively with a neurodivergent and disabled-led team
