The Acorn is a life-enhancing, vibrant, creative centre for live arts for all of West Cornwall, with a reputation for innovative (and occasionally quirky!) programming. For over 40 years it has hosted a huge variety of acts, groups and projects including theatre, dance, music, youth, community engagement, comedy, children’s theatre, films and choirs, and its great facilities and atmosphere attract performers from the regular national and international tour circuits to play in this remote corner of Cornwall. The Acorn also nurtures regional talent, supporting the development of new work, hosting community events and providing an affordable venue for educational arts activities.
Queen’s Hall Arts Centre (QHAC) has established itself as a strong base for an extensive range of artistic activity, attracting the best international and national artists from music, drama, dance and national touring comedy to non professional shows put on by local community groups. In addition to programming within the building, QHA delivers an extensive outreach service bringing workshops and performances to communities throughout Northumberland.
Mind the Gap is England’s largest learning disability theatre company that creates work for UK and international audiences. We work in partnership with learning-disabled artists to deliver a bold, cutting-edge and world-class artistic programme that impacts locally, nationally and internationally. Work that excites, surprises and challenges audiences. Our aim is to make great theatre that makes audiences think differently. By “theatre” we don’t just mean shows that you can see in arts and theatre venues, but also performances and events in different spaces and places.
Offbeat is a hive of new performance in Oxford. It’s a festival of brand-new theatre, comedy, dance, family shows, spoken word and music. It’s a place for you to see something which wouldn’t usually come here. It’s a blind date with a show you could fall in love with. And – lucky you – it’s right on your doorstep. Take a chance on something exciting. A collaboration between Oxford Playhouse and Arts at the Old Fire Station, with performances across the Old Fire Station and BT Studio.
Stratford Circus Arts Centre is a vibrant place to create and experience art through world-class theatre, dance, music and circus and visual exhibitions and we present work for families, young people and adults. We support national, international and East London artists to create new work that is relevant to local people, connecting artists and audiences to help them find authentic voices.
